"..And I saw this really beautiful girl."

WHY AM I READING THE PACT AGAIN WHEN MY EXAMS ARE IN 4 DAYS TIME?! -slaps myself. (pain.)

Why is everybody watching GOONG, otherwise known as PRINCESS HOURS. That nice meh?! The girl who plays the flute looks a bit.. intellectually incapable.

I find myself cursing upon the thought of opening my books and memorising them. Of course, that's inevitable. I learnt something precious over the weekend that I would like to adopt for one of other English Essays of Great Brilliance.

".. demon texts otherwise known as the syllabus.."

So that sums up my week. And I though I yearn to continue blogging about things which will open readers into new insights and instant enlightenment, otherwise known as CRAP, I have demon texts to study. :(

Some news just in. What a suckish day this is. T_T

Such Sweet Sorrow

I guess for certain people in this world, if you guys can sleep soundly at night, with nothing pricking on your conscience, with nothing gnawing away at your (lack of) morals, well, power to you!
".. and this is Mr Miyagi, Hello Everybody." will be dearly missed.

We wish him all the best in pursuing his future plans. :)

Matrix Revolution (in Cantonese) DVD

Despite having merely 6 hours of sleep on a Saturday night, I still managed to get out of bed this morning on time. I did something out of immense stupidity this afternoon. I bought a foot long Subway Melt (Mmmm..) and I took a cab back home from City Hall. So that wasn't a very intelligent thing to do, especially when I'm not very financially abled in recent times.

I think the sub is pretty much digested now. It's time for dinner. :)

MATRIX IS ON TONIGHT ON CHANNEL 5 :D

a long, quick one.

I have 9 minutes to write as much as want, and I promised I'd make full use of this 9 minutes. Because after a long day of practically doing entirely nothing, I saw the need, heard the calling, felt the feeling, smelt the stench, what's the other one, (..sight, touch, smell, hearing... TASTE!), tasted my dinner (?), of doing what i dread doing most: STUDYING. As much as I detest it and find absolutely no point of doing (not really lah), I still have to do it. Yea, not that I have found any motivation or drive or will to get to it yet, I just figured it's something that I ought to do. Especially since I'm a 16 year old residing in lovely Singapore with no superior intelligence or show any potential whatsoever of winning a Nobel Peace Prize, I might as well blend-in and give-in to our dear MOE. I'm not exactly making sense right now but I guess it's something that I have to do to keep this blog at least, partially alive.

So, i have approximately 4 minutes left before I have to click "Publish Post" and be gone from this cyber domain. ...And I'm wondering what else to say, other than crap. Well, let me tell you about my opinion on the haze. :)

Currenly, PSI readings are at a relatively low of 74, 75ish. Which is err. not bad, I guess? Singapore has not seen blue skies for a long time, actually it has not been able to see the end of the roads for quite some time now. You have to admit it is pretty cool that we're experiencing this kind of phenomenon! It's like, you walk out of your comfy household to find that well, smoke gets in your eyes. (Listen to the current 'Now Playing'.) Although I figured that I'm not being exactly very considerate (totally contradictory to the courtesy campaign) to those people suffering with respiratory problems, but somehow I wish that the haze would stay! A couple of days ago, you couldn't even see our beautiful Shenton Way Skycraper Skyline from the PIE. Now, it's clearing up and you don't exactly smell the thick smoke anymore. (i think) But my point is, the haze creates something new and common for Singaporeans to talk about. Like, you meet an aquaintance along the street, and you go, "Mmm. Haze pretty bad huh.." and he goes like "Yah man, all Indonesia's fault lah!" "My mother at home everyday comprain headache. Must be the haze.." and so on and so on. It's something ALL of us are experiencing, no matter which part of Singapore you reside in! It's being such a National phenomenon that our local TV stations have even decided to put up-to-date PSI readings on the top left hand corner of your TV screen! I mean, it's not like anyone really CARES what the PSI readings are, because as most of you should know that PSI readings are not exactly accurate for every inch of Singapore, but it gives you a sense of current-ness, gives you a feeling of hey, I'm involved in current news, I know what the PSI reading of my country is! Like before the haze, many people I'm sure didn't know what on earth was PSI or what the average daily PSI of Singapore was!

Haze also gives people a reason to slack off from their daily activities and gives the chubby kid more reason to skip PE, even if it's indoors. (wait a minute, primary school close already anot?) Everything also blame the haze. Need a day off? Blame the haze. Need an MC? Blame the haze. It's amazing how we can always turn something bad and manipulate it and take cruel advantage of it and make it something to our own benefit! I wonder if it's in human nature, or if it's only Singaporeans. In any case, the haze does bring about some benefits, be it on a National scale, or just in your own little personal space. And during the count-down to 2007, I'm sure one very significant event that people would remember, would be THE HAZE. Maybe our local film producers should make a movie out of it. Like, Singapore Dreaming 2: You think you're dreaming, but you're not. It's the haze. (even the poster too hazy until cannot see)

Well, I well surpassed my 9-minute mark. My parents are back home and well, the mugging resumes! I hope this entry made the least bit of sense. Maybe I'll delete it when people start scoffing and mocking me for my superficial sense of ... things.. like haze.. :(

not happy. at all.

I learnt an EXTREMELY (double underline, super bolded, arrows pointing, highlighted, circled 5 times - I cannot seem to emphasize enough the severity of it) important lesson this evening:

THOU SHALL KEEP THINGS ORGANIZED AND THINK TWICE BEFORE THINKING ITS OF NO USE AND BLINDLY ERADICATE OF IT (i think i did) OUT OF MERE ANGER AND FRUSTRATION, SO THAT THOU WILL NOT LOSE THINGS OF IMMENSE SENTIMENTAL VALUE, AND FIND OUT TWO FREAKING YEARS LATER THAT THOU HAS FOOLISHLY LOST IT WITH NO CHANCE OF GETTING IT BACK.

I am so devasted at my loss.

I think you're amazing :)

A short extract from "The Tenth Circle"..

It was so long ago, Trixie had to think for a moment. "We went to Cape Canaveral. And Disney World."

Willie started picking at the wooden floor. "I bet you fit in there."

"Because it's so tacky?"

"Because you're like that fairy. The one who hangs out with Peter Pan."

Trixie burst out laughing. "Tinker Bell?"

"Yeah. My sister had that book."

She was about to tell him he was crazy, but then she remembered that Peter Pan was about a boy who didn't want to grow up, and she decided she didn't mind the comparison.

"She was so pretty," Willie said. "She had a light inside her."

Trixie stared at him. "You think I'm pretty?"

Instead of answering, Willie got up and crawled back into the hot room. By the time she followed, he'd already poured water over the rocks. Blinded by steam, she had to find her way by touch. She drew her fingers over the rough run of the wooden floor, up the joints of the walls, and then she brushed the smooth curve of Willie's shoulder. Before she could pull away, Willie's hand came up to capture hers. He tugged her closer, until they were facing each other on their knees, in the heart of a cloud.

"Yeah, you're pretty," Willie said.

Support the Yellow Ribbon Project :)

i just finished yet another wonderful book by Jodi Picoult, titled "The Tenth Circle".
quite cool lah. i only started to like it from the second half onwards when the girl met this sweet eskimo boy called Willie Moses. :)
"Yeah, you're pretty."

yes, people, support the yellow ribbon project indeed! you can't imagine how hard it must be for these people with tainted records to fit back into society, shunned and ostracized by other 'perfect' people like us. we must help them! think of their family they have to support! the forgiving wife and the innocent child, looking up to his/her daddy wide-eyed, so full of hope, yet, so helplessly dependant on daddy..

i can't wait to read more books. why do i always have to do the right things at the totally wrong time.. warrgh. shall update another time. :)
